Original drummer for BUMBLEFOOT, Jeff Thal is a professional live and studio drummer that was born and raised in New York with his brother and bandmate Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal.  In recent years Jeff also recorded with international recording act HER CHARIOT AWAITS, on Frontiers Records (Mike Orlando from Adrenaline Mob).  He studied formally for 8 years, playing his first concert at the age of 10, his first club at age 16, started teaching at age 17 and recorded his first record at age 19.  His strengths as a drummer include a rock solid meter, click track, rudimental chops, odd-time signatures, and double-bass flair.  Mainly a rock drummer, his experience lies in progressive rock and funk, fusion and more.  Jeff has toured with and recorded 3 albums  with Bumblefoot, as well as playing on tracks with Neal Schon of Journey, Stryper's Oz Fox, Jon Finn and Tim ¨Ripper" Owens.  He currently teaches and tracks studio sessions regularly in Sarasota, Florida and is recording several different self-produced projects, including hard rock group A Deeper Down, a Latin-fusion album with various guest performers, and his indie rock group "Punk Drunk".
